Registered Nurse: Specialty (Nephrology).

Chichi Duru is a Registered Nurse with a specialization in renal care. She provides education to patients, oversees dialysis treatment, adheres to safety protocols, and offers emotional and social support. Additionally, she collaborates with the care team to coordinate patient care and schedule treatments.

With over 14 years in in-center hemodialysis, Chichi has worked with patients of various ages, ethnicities, and socioeconomic backgrounds that have end-stage kidney disease (ESKD) and may also have other health complications such as diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, or vascular issues contributing to their kidney failure.

At this year’s international Women’s Day conference, Chichi will emphasize the significance of renal health care in enhancing the quality of life for women and mitigating the risk of kidney disease.
Kidney disease can influence a woman’s fertility, menstrual cycle, and sexual well-being.
